Print: Baxter - CL 322 St. Ruth's Priory. Issued separately by Baxter and also in the recently discovered pocket book “The Sovereign for 1855”. It is said this is based on Arbroath Abbey used by Sir Walter Scott as his St Ruth’s Priory in his story “The Antiquary”. Also issued on the cover of the rare “Baxter's Patent Pictorial Notepaper." Printed from eleven blocks. It was originally sold at 6d.
