Print: Le Blond LB 24 - Rheinfels Castle (German: Burg Rheinfels) is a castle ruin located above the left (west) bank of the Rhine in Sankt (St) Goar, Germany.
It was the largest fortress in the Middle Rhein Valley between Koblenz and Mainz and is the largest castle overlooking the Rhine, historically covering five times its current area.
Used in an, as yet, unknown pocket book in 1852 when, as in this example, it has engraved in the bottom margin the title, on the left "Printed in oil colours by Le Blond & Co." and on the right "Licencees, London."
