Print: Le Blond - LB 48 - CL 22. Le Blond never gave this print a title so Courtney Lewis gave it this name when he wrote his Le Blond Book in 1920.
This was on the same plate as The Grape Lady”, "The Sisters" and “Actæon and Diana." The plate wasn’t damaged, as it was reprinted in black by Drood Society in the 1920’s, but it is strange why the first two prints are so hard to find when the other two, in comparison, are quite common. Used on fabric labels.
The print is signed right at the very foot of the print and so often, as in this example, it has been trimmed possibly to try and pass this off as a print by George Baxter.
